הלהקה שחררה עכשיו סינגל חדש בשם “Like Breaking Glass” שמתלווה להודעה הרשמית שהם משחררים את אלבומם השישי בתאריך 21 לאוגוסט 2020. “Every heart beats now/It beats like the sound of breaking glass” שר דן וויטפילד עם המון ריוורב וסינטי עוצמתי ברקע “Every violent breath/Hurts, so I know I’m still in love”.
“In the beginning, ‘Like Breaking Glass’ started out as a completely different track” כך אומר דן בראיון שבו מדבר על הסינגל החדש “One weekend I was mucking around in the studio with just a drum beat and an acid bassline. I never managed to finish it, but when I came back to it the next week there was something about that beat that felt compelling, so I started writing a song over the top of it”.
“It is about the conflicted feelings of a relationship that has begun to unravel” הוא מוסיף “Where sometimes against all logic, you discover that affections run deep just as a break-up becomes inevitable. It was also one of my favorite songs working in the studio with the band”
Freeze, Melt יהיה האלבום השישי של הלהקה אחרי באלבום האחרון שהוציאה בשנת 2017 Haiku From Zero. והסינגל החדש שלהם הוא השלישי השנה אחרי “Love Is All We Share” ו”Cold Water”. והלהקה מתכננת לצאת לסיבוב הופעות באירופה לכבודו בקיץ של שנה הבאה (2021).
